1. Definitions
- Village Carpets Ltd: Village Carpets Ltd. hereinafter referred to as "Village Carpets Ltd," located at 10 Smithbrook Kilns, Cranleigh. Surrey, GU6 8JJ.
- Customer: Any individual or business that engages the Village Carpets Ltd for carpet and flooring services.
- Services: The supply and installation of carpet and flooring services provided by the Village Carpets Ltd.
2. Services Provided
- Village Carpets Ltd offers professional carpet and flooring fitting services, including the supply and installation of carpets, sisal, LVT, vinyl, laminate and engineered wood agreed with the Customer.
- All services are subject to the specific terms outlined in the agreement between the Customer and Village Carpets Ltd.
3. Quotation and Pricing
- A formal quotation/estimate will be provided to the Customer prior to the commencement of any work. The price includes cost of flooring, labour, materials, admin, tools, uplift and dispose of old floor coverings and furniture removal unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Al quotes may be subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances, material costs, or other factors.
- Additional charges may apply if there are changes to the original scope of work or if additional services are requested by the Customer.
- If a break down of the estimate is required, this is an extra cost.
- All estimate prices are valid for 1 month, after this the estimate may be subject to change.
4. Payment Terms
- A deposit of 50% of the total cost is required upon acceptance of the quotation.
- Final payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed.
- Payments can be made via BACS or credit/debit card.
5. Scheduling and Delays
- Village Carpets Ltd will provide an estimated date for the commencement and completion of the work.
- While Village Carpets Ltd will make every effort to complete the work within the agreed timeframe, delays may occur due to factors such as supply chain issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Village Carpets Ltd is not liable for delays outside of its control.
6. Customer Obligations
- The Customer must ensure the work area is clear of any obstacles and is accessible for the fitters.
- The Customer is responsible for any necessary permits or permissions required for the installation of flooring.
- If the Customer fails to fulfil these obligations, Village Carpets Ltd may need to reschedule or cancel the work at the Customer's expense.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
- The Customer may cancel the services before purchasing of the flooring without penalty.
- It is the Customer’s responsibility to check the flooring stated in the quote is the flooring they have chosen. Once the deposit is paid the flooring will be ordered immediately to reduce delays. Once the flooring has been ordered the deposit can not be refunded.
- If Village Carpets Ltd is unable to provide the services as agreed (e.g., due to stock unavailability), the Customer is entitled to a full refund of any payments made.
8. Liability
- Village Carpets Ltd will not be held responsible for any damages arising from the Customer’s failure to adhere to care and maintenance instructions provided by Village Carpets Ltd.
- Village Carpets Ltd’s liability for damages resulting from faulty installation or defective materials is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing the affected work, and does not include consequential damages or losses.
9. Health and Safety
- Village Carpets Ltd adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations during the provision of its services.
- The Customer is required to notify Village Carpets Ltd of any potential hazards or health and safety concerns in the work area before the start of the installation.
10. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes or complaints arising from the services provided will first be addressed through direct communication between Village Carpets Ltd and the Customer.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to mediation or arbitration as a means of resolving the issue.
11. Changes to Terms
- Village Carpets Ltd reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Customer prior to the commencement of services.
12. Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Customer Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By accepting the quotation and proceeding with the work, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
